Room is 1 single room of 6.5m by 3.2m in a rectangular size.

Option A:  Either 1 of these setup  (1 condenser)

  1. Dakin: MKM75VVMG + CTKM50VVMG:  $ 2.6k            (no standalone pricing for CTKM60VVMG) so guessing at $2.8k
  2. Mitsubishi Electric: MXY-3H28VG + MSXY-FP24VG:  $2.8k
  3. Toshiba: RAS-3M31U2ACVG-SG + RAS-M18U2KCVG-SG1: $2.5k           (no standalone pricing for M24U2KCVG-SG1) so  guessing at $2.8k

Option B:  Either 1 of these setup  (2 condenser)

  1. Dakin: RKS35LVMG + FTKS35LVMG: $1.4k      +     Mitsubishi Electric: MUY-GP15VF + MSY-GP15VF: $1.7      Total $3.1k
  2. Midea: MSEOD-18 + MSEIDS-18(s): $1.6k       +      Dakin: RKM35PVMG + FTKM35PVM: $1.5k      Total $3.1k

Consider expansion, moi guessing you only plan to air con one room. But what if you end up renting out the other bedroom, or one of the atb you shoot inside turn up at your door with bb?

If the option b can add units, my vote is b

me also think instead of 1 over power AC at 21k btu might as well get 2 set of 14 or 15k btu

I not AC expert.

Like to ask do you use AC like 24/7 and <24C?

If Yes then spread the stress on your AC to 2 units may be better.

I hear the Mitsubishi Elec is the popular choice now. Which model i wakaranai neh!

the more you clean the more it rot

i think based on the layout should go for 2 condensers. so can choose 1 condenser if a cool day, and blast 2 condensers like today

since got 2 AC, i ownself clean, by the time it spoil after 5yr to 7yr, i replace the whole AC, cause it much cheaper this way Dakin: RKS35LVMG + FTKS35LVMG: $1.4k

normal servicing = $30 per unit = 1yr is $120, 5yr = $600

Chemical serving - $70 per unit = 1yr is $280, 5yr = $1400

Chemical Overhaul Service (every 2 or 3yr once) = 6yr do 2 times = $200

price from https://letscoolaircon.com.sg

i rather dont service, after warranty over in 5th yr, and when it break down, i just replace it.

my daikin i find the screw that holds the panel (electronics) to the main unit all rusted. I worried if I were to drill it out then the pcb will not stay in place

so now stuck. Can only use brush and vacuum the roller fan.

I think Daikin needs better quality screws,

Last time when I get someone to clean, around 1 every 2 yr for chemical overhaul confirm 1 or 2 month later it will spoil.

Happen to me 3 times. Since that I try to clean myself if not i don't even want to call them.

Knn trying to cheat me
