  10. Hoho ho....!! Not sure who are they refering to! C19 will trigger those with preexisting condition & very hard to proof anyone dying due to C19 vaccine! Those who took vaccine and has a preexisting condition, eg asthma, HBP, high cholesterol, etc.... and they die. COD also will indicate primary cause like heart failure, pulmonary disease,... Its the C19 virus that triggers & worsen the primary cause. How to argue & prove it with MOH? Its like which came 1st "chicken or the egg"! Besides MOH has all your health records! What do u have? This is why MOH is very confident, it very very unlikely one can claim $225,000. Down the road 10 yrs after u take the vaccine, out of the blue you grown breasts & have high pitch voice. U also can prove anything!

  11. Original costumes, original props and a chance to create your own personalised Star Wars character? Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition is a fanboy’s dream. Watch CNA Lifestyle's video for an up-close and personal look. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) Star Wars fans in Singapore need not travel to a galaxy far, far away to get up close and personal with the original costumes, props and artefacts from their hallowed and beloved film series. Original costumes, original props and a chance to create your own personalised Star Wars character? Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition is a fanboy’s dream. Watch CNA Lifestyle's video for an up-close and personal look. After travelling the world for more than eight years (after its 2012 inception in Montreal, Quebec), Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition has finally landed at Singapore's ArtScience Museum, marking the 12th and final stop of its global tour. It’ll run from Saturday (Jan 30) till Jun 13. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) Showcasing over 200 original costumes, props, models and pieces of conceptual artwork from the extensive Lucas Museum of Narrative Art archive, the exhibition focuses on the first six films in George Lucas’s expansive canon. This means fans of Rey, Poe and everything from The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker will have little to geek over, save for a display of an original First Order stormtrooper outfit and the model for fan favourite droid BB-8. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) But aside from that, devotees of the original three films (episodes IV–VI) and the much-debated prequels (episodes I–III) will feel like kids in a candy shop as the exhibition deep-dives into the creative legacy of Lucas’ sacrosanct space opera. In among the geeky goodies and pieces of production history from the Lucasfilm Archives, there are some fascinating nuggets of behind-the-scenes lore, related mostly to the original Star Wars trilogy. Visitors will also get a chance to come up with their own Star Wars character, complete with unique sociological, psychological and genetic traits. “Through the exploration of the characters and worlds of Star Wars, this interactive exhibition connects us with themes that can resonate with our own sense of self, familial identity and shared experience,” said Lucas, creator of Star Wars. “In Singapore, the exhibition will engage that connection… fantasy meets reality, with a dash of reflection and adventure.” Here are four things to look out for at Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition. ORIGINAL COSTUMES Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) R2-D2, Yoda, C-3PO, Stormtroopers and more! The original droid costumes (yes, that’s the actual R2-D2 costume worn by Kenny Baker) and puppets (yes, that’s the very Yoda you see in Empire Strikes Back) used during filming are all featured – every little detail on full display. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) There are many fun facts sign-posted as well. Like how several different R2-D2 units were used in the filming of Star Wars: A New Hope. Some like the one on display could be controlled from the inside by Baker; others were operated by remote control. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) Also on show are the authentic costumes from the original film trilogy that spanned from 1977 to 1983, including the actual furry outfit worn by Chewbacca actor, the late Peter Mayhew; Darth Vader’s petrifying ebony cape and mech-suit; and multiple costumes worn by Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, the late Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia and Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Seeing all these in the flesh is probably worth the price of admission. 10 INTERACTIVE CHECKPOINTS Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition is divided into sections focusing on the development of specific characters. And along the way, the tour asks you, the visitor, to go on your own journey and create your own Star Wars identity by choosing everything from the Star Wars universe – from the species you want to be to the planet you’re from, the natural abilities you desire or who you would like your mentor to be. At the end, you decide whether you end up on the dark or the light side, and you’ll have your own personalised digital avatar to take home as a memento. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) AUTHENTIC PROPS Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) You’ll get to see an impressive array of the very starships and vehicles used in filming that simulated the experience of travelling at light speed. Marvel at the Imperial Star Destroyer squared off against a rebel squadron. Or geek out at the technical blueprints and models that detail the passion that went into the production of the beloved Millennium Falcon. You’ll also get to see Jabba The Hut’s original eyes and yes, Han Solo in carbonite. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION AND CONCEPT ART Fanboy alert: You’ll get to see Ralph McQuarrie’s original illustrations. Die-hard fans will instantly recognise the concept art, and seeing the raw storyboards in person highlights the visual inspiration for the films. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) We also get a fascinating look at Lucas’s original prototypes for Yoda, Jabba the Hutt, Han Solo and Luke. And on the dark side, a lowdown on the early incarnations of the always controversial (perhaps maligned?!) Jar Jar Binks. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition (Photo: Genevieve Loh) Tickets (which start from S$20 for Singapore residents) are available at all Marina Bay Sands box offices and website. You can also use your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers too! Admission times will be every 15 minutes starting from 10am. Expect to spend an average of 1.5 hours at the exhibition. Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition runs from Jan 30 to Jun 13th at the ArtScience Museum.

  19. Thats good. I'm not concern about your key hole wound which you can see and know how to react! But the stent in your ureter, u need to be careful. This is the one that i am hoping u pay attention to. UT infection & inflammation in your ureter can make your ureter worst then now! So pay attention! Even if your kidney is good but Ureter is scared & narrowed, its no good! For example; U need to change your gas tube (ureter) from LPG tank (Kidney) to the burner (bladder) every few years! The gas delivery tube can dried out or leak as example! So If u have a temperature and feel unwell, it could be an infection in your ureter! Call your Renal Dr and tell him!

  20. One in five male sailors serving with China’s submarine force in the South China Sea experience mental health problems, according to new research. The study by Naval Medical University in Shanghai of more than 500 servicemen and officers claims to be the first of its kind to highlight the psychological problems facing troops working in the disputed waterway. Based on their answers to a self-assessment questionnaire, 21 per cent of respondents were found to be suffering from some degree of mental health problems. Get the latest insights and analysis from our Global Impact newsletter on the big stories originating in China. The submariners also scored higher on indicators of anxiety and paranoid ideation – thinking that is dominated by suspicious or persecutory content – than the average for all Chinese military servicemen. The findings suggested the submariners were “at higher risk of and have more serious psychological problems”, the researchers said in a report published this month in Military Medicine, a journal produced by the Society of Federal Health Professionals in the United States. The study said more research was needed to understand the causes of the mental health problems, but said the sea’s strategic importance to China was likely to be one of the contributing factors. “We speculate that this may be because of, on one hand, increasing military manoeuvres in south China in recent years that can involve 60 to 90 days of submerged cruising,” the researchers said. “On the other hand, the physically unfriendly environment means that submariners are not only living in an isolated, constantly closed environment, but they also sleep in a cabin that is exposed to excessive noise.” The study also found that servicemen on nuclear submarines were more likely to experience psychological problems than their counterparts on traditional vessels, as were those with a university education. On the subject of the latter, the researchers said the underwater environment might not “meet the work requirements of highly educated personnel longing for freedom and integration into society”. The study said more research was needed to understand the causes of the submariners’ mental health problems. Photo: AFP Despite their findings, the researchers said the discovery that 21 per cent of submariners were experiencing mental health problems was not significantly different from a 2005 study that found 18 per cent of all male Chinese soldiers had such problems. But the higher scores on certain symptoms and the assessment overall underlined the vulnerability of the South China Sea submariners, and provided a base for the military to promote better mental health within the group, they said. Beijing regards almost all of the South China Sea as its sovereign territory, but Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam all hold rival claims. To reinforce its claims, Beijing has ramped up its military presence in the waterway, developing bases and staging regular sea patrols. The US Office of Naval Intelligence said in a report published in March it expected China’s nuclear-powered attack submarine fleet to grow to 13 by 2030, from seven last year and five in 2000.

  39. The Chinese New Year bazaar may have been cancelled, but that has not stopped crowds from thronging Chinatown during this festive season. When The New Paper team was there for three hours on Saturday, Trengganu Street, Temple Street and Pagoda Street were teeming with hundreds of shoppers who were all wearing masks. But safe distancing was simply not possible as many people literally rubbed shoulders on the packed streets and in shops. Also of concern was that only one shop in the area was seen enforcing SafeEntry protocol, which enables contact tracing in the event of a Covid-19 infection. When shown photographs of the scene, infectious disease specialist Leong Hoe Nam said with a sigh: "Too many people. Exactly what the virus would want. I expected it. We have Covid fatigue." The eight shoppers that TNP approached were confident that masking up would give them enough protection from the coronavirus that has blighted the world in the past year. One of them, who was with her husband and wanted to be known only as Ms Nancy, 58, said: "I think it is okay and safe without social distancing because people are wearing masks." Another shopper, Mr Hong, 47, who was with his wife and son, said: "I am not worried because we are moving around and not trapped in one area. It is fine because people are wearing masks." Dr Leong said while it is true that masks do provide some protection, the assumption is they are good quality masks that are used properly in tandem with strict hand hygiene. "The mask is only as good as how you use it. Many wear it with their nose exposed and with big gaps by the side," he added. When approached, many shop owners and assistants either declined to comment or were defensive about the lax safety measures in the area. When asked about SafeEntry, a woman selling festive snacks kept asking if the TNP team wanted to make a purchase before she finally pointed to a neighbouring shop and said: "There is a QR code next to our shop. It is the same if you scan next door." At the only shop enforcing SafeEntry and temperature- taking, the owner who wanted to be known only as Mr Larry, 28, said: "I am worried that there is no social distancing and customers are not keeping a distance from one another." Mr Low Chek Liang, 58, who runs a shop selling Chinese New Year decorations, said: "I am not scared even though there is no SafeEntry. If you have a strong immunity, there is nothing to be scared of. I think I have a strong immunity." Last November, the Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Citizens' Consultative Committee decided to cancel the Chinese New Year bazaar over crowd control concerns. But it has done little to keep the crowds away. On Saturday, three safe distancing ambassadors told TNP about the difficulties their team of 10 faced in trying to manage the crowds. DIFFICULT "We have to make sure everyone is 1m apart and wearing masks, but since it is a weekend, it is difficult to control them," said one. "We even activated teams from Orchard and other areas to come over and help, along with assistance from police officers. "But we really need the full cooperation of the public." The surge in physical interactions is highly risky, warned Dr Leong. "If we continue like this, a super spreading event will occur. What made us safe previously may not be good enough for the next lap," he said. Dr Leong added that while we have managed to "push back" the virus in recent months, if we just "maintain status quo, we will falter". This is because the virus is adapting into new strains that are more infectious in places such as Britain, South Africa and Brazil. Meanwhile, complacency set in here with the more relaxed measures in phase three, likely contributing to a rise in community cases, he noted. Dr Leong expects a spike after the festive celebrations as "we have a coming together of a perfect storm. Big gatherings, more transmissible virus, Covid fatigue". Warning that the virus was "coming back with a vengeance" in several countries, he said: "The vengeance reeked of death, illness and misery in Manaus, Brazil. "They are having 'Covid deja vu'. "One circuit breaker (in Singapore) is one too many. Nobody wants CB deja vu."
