Bigbird
KIDNEY STONES What are kidney stones? Kidney stones or calculi are solid collections of normal urinary components which have precipitated out of the urine to form crystals. The majority of stones are calcium-based but there are several other types of stones which can also occur. Kidney stone formation is often influenced by diet, fluid intake, heredity, and occasionally other medical problems. Stones are more common in men and are believed to affect roughly 5-10% of the population. https://auspecialists.com/kidney-stones/ TYPES credit https://homeomart.net/2020/05/05/top-homeopathy-remedies-for-kidney-stone-treatment-at-home/ 3
Bigbird
TREATMENT Ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure that can treat a wide variety of kidney stones regardless of what type of stone or location. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is a kidney stone treatment that is minimally invasive or non-invasive and uses sound waves to break up stones from outside the body. For larger kidney stones, sometimes a percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is preferred where a telescope is placed directly into the kidney and the stones are broken up and suctioned out all through a tiny incision in the back. How do I prevent stones? The most common causes of stone formation are dehydration and excess salt (sodium) intake. Therefore, most patients will benefit from drinking more fluids and decreasing the amount of salt in their diet. Ureteroscopy got think of it, but decided Nephrolithotomy after this most like i do ultra sound yearly, most like will go poly do ultra sound yearly. For reference on stone size Yours 18mm, is one of those larger one! I guess yours is stuck in the kidney. Do you know where in the kidney? have u seen the Xray? 40% on 1 kidney? Did they do a eGFR? If its block the Ureter like pic below, then it's hard for urine to pass! Other possible situation, Mine case was like the stone stuck alone the Ureter (Left side of pic)! I recently passed out 1 stucked kidney stone for a few yrs on my left Ureter,

But u cant wait so long and the probability is "Calcium Oxalate", unless u also have a history of gout or diabetes..... then it could be Uric! COULD BE DUE TO THE MEDICATION YOU TAKE ALSO! OVER TIME IT BUILDS UP! How to avoid kidney stones Here are the five ways to help prevent kidney stones: 1. Drink plenty of water 2. Eat calcium rich foods 3. Reduce sodium 4. Limit animal protein 5. Avoid stone-forming foods: Beets, chocolate, spinach, rhubarb, tea, and most nuts are rich in oxalate. which can contribute to kidney stones. If you suffer from stones, your doctor may advise you to avoid these foods or to consume them in smaller amounts. For everyone else, particular foods and drinks are unlikely to trigger kidney stones unless consumed in extremely high amounts. Some studies have shown that people who take high doses of vitamin C in the form of supplements are at slightly higher risk of kidney stones. That may be because the body converts vitamin C into oxalate. Your water uptake should be gradual. since 1 kidney is taking over the filtration & passing of urine. Coffee & Caffeine will cause Kidney stones hor! 4 hours ago, The_King said: Mine no signs and symptoms at all If You dont drink much liquid, you dont pass much urine. So the KS is not really passing out. So it slowly build up larger! The Pain and all the other symptoms will appear when it pass through your Ureter! Now yours is so BIG, cant pass through so stuck at the mouth of your Kidney! Urine back flow. You need to be aware undischarge urine will cause infection to your kidney! Perhaps, you should seek another opinion. Since you still need to suffer for 1 mth till Op. Got insurance go private opinion asap.
