As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who admitted in the past that he and his wife Ng Wai Zing lived in separate places throughout their 28 years of marriage, stated that the two of them have "separate values" rather than "conflict in political views". "We see things from different sides. It doesn't matter if people have different values. Husband and wife, family and friends can be together without sharing the same opinion. Otherwise, you have to be alone. Unless the other party kills and sets fire, what is the big deal? We are not in the Middle Ages," he said. When asked if they would avoid talking about the topics that they have opposing opinions on, Anthony stated that it would be useless to speak of it. "I am not the chief executive and I am not representing any political party. I can't do anything, so what do I do? This is not a debate forum," he added. On the other hand, the actor revealed that he will be flying to Taiwan again next week to film a new show. Asked if he will move to Taiwan, Anthony responded, "There is no plan to do so, unless there are more job opportunities there.
