I still have a 2006 Old Sony Viao VGN TX750p  Made In Japan with inbuilt optical Drive (only 1.26KG)!

This  is the best lappy then and the lightest i known!

My next would be either a Thinkpad or MBP!

Is the Thinkpad still good these days?

ThinkPad ok but not ThinkBook...thinkbook is the poorer cousin version...lol

you can look at here https://www.lenovo.com/sg/en/thinkpad/

look for the warranty, lousy one 1 yr, some better one is 3yr

liek this one, 3 yr warranty for ThinkPad T14  Part Number:  20UDS0LC00 or this ThinkPad X13 Part Number:  20UFS09B00

all 3 yr Premier (mean Next-business-day onsite labor & parts)  all less then 1.3k .

buy business laptop is the best.

How is the Teclast? Any issues with it so far?

Not banking on my CHUWI to survive beyond 3 years of constant usage. Even if the internals are fine, the battery would have probably given up by then. Will hunt around for something better value by then. CHUWI is expensive!

Ok so far, but haven't really had the time to stress it. Not so friendly with dual-booting ubuntu / linux mint(Driver issues), but windows has been ok.

I guess I'll check it out when the time comes to change.

Good point about Linux. Yet to try with my tablet, probably will run into similar driver issues if I do try though lol.

Me using MBA 2011 (self replaced battery to Anker)!  The power cord magsafe connector is shitty (every 3-4 yrs spoil)!

Hello, fellow Mac user. :)

Good content = Topics that genuinely encourages and stimulates interaction/banter.

Bad content = Clickbaits, brag posts and social media news feed that nobody gives a flying fuck about + waste of server storage space

Now most electronic products are build to self-destruct after a few years!

So learn to DIY parts helps!

I also bought spare magsafe charging cable!
