Wah.... So the stone is too big? What about Ureteroscopy? Did u seek another Urologist opinion? Do u know Kidney stones issue is hereditary! I did mine 15y ago! It will reappear ~ 10ys! So u are on painkillers now? my no pain, no urine blood, nothing, not on painkiller. stone is about 18mm wanted to seeking 2nd opinion but the kidney now is swollen, even ultrasound all cant see, even CT scan also the same, so in order to remove asap to prevent more damage i have no choice to remove asap. Ureteroscopy got think of it, but decided Nephrolithotomy after this most like i do ultra sound yearly, most like will go poly do ultra sound yearly. When i had KS pain, it was a sudden Mother of all KNNC@^%*%*#$#%!! I was literally sweating in Pain! I was very close to calling an Ambu at 2am! Mine was ~5mm with jagged edges. Waited till 7am for clinic to open and was told KS, immediately refer to SGH A&E. Dr said he will call Ambu to send me but i told him no need, damn malu lah! Must walk in like a man!
