as all u kumgong pappy serfs know, limpeh do alot of reading but never compile a reading recommendation for all of u.

 

so in order to promote reading and critical thinking, limpeh has decided to start a book recommendation thread to intro some good reads and hopefully can be less kumgong.

this is actually not limpeh's first choice to recommend in the first post of the thread but in view of the current global economic situation, limpeh think this book will show the importance of reading widely and thinking critically.

 

written in early 2018 by Dinny McMahon, this book is prescience, just like limpeh.

and this is why limpeh said limpeh has doubts abt his double first honors cambridge.

continuing with last week's topic on economic growth, limpeh (in a departure from introducing books) intro u kumgong pappy serfs to read this 1990 paper by nobel laureate paul romer.

this paper is an extension of his 1986 paper which i will intro next week.

 

the only person in pappyland who put an early form of this economic growth theory into practice was Dr. Goh Keng Swee back in 1970s with his chartered industries, way b4 this amdk came up with this theory.

 

“The question we must answer sooner or later is this: “When do we stop growing?” Or to be more precise, at what point do we stop importing foreign workers and cease to encourage foreign entrepreneurs and capital in Singapore? thats why limpeh learnt more watching 40 episodes of this hk drama than what 4 yrs of uni maths taught limpeh.
