A car hit a cyclist along Clementi Avenue 3 in broad daylight.

The incident was caught on video, which was shared online by the SG Road Vigilante (SGRV) Facebook page.

According to the video's caption, the incident took place on April 8 just after 10am.

What video showed

According to the video, the cyclist, who was decked out in cycling tights and riding a racing bike, was travelling on the left of the vehicle recording the footage.

The footage showed the vehicles on the road were stationary at the traffic light just prior to the cyclist appearing on the screen on the left.

The cyclist then cut in front of the vehicle recording the footage to enter the pedestrian crossing to go towards WE Cinemas.

This was despite the oncoming traffic in the opposite direction.

A cream coloured sports utility vehicle failed to brake in time and hit the cyclist.

Mothership has reached out to the Singapore Civil Defence Force for more information.
