(Taipei 17th comprehensive report) A woman surnamed Zheng in Chiayi County, Taiwan has a toothache and was treated at Chiayi Christian Hospital recently. The doctor extracted her 20 teeth within 5 hours, and told the family members that "one tooth is the same as several teeth." As a result, the woman Zheng went into a coma the next day and lost her vital signs for a while. She was sent to a doctor and died 9 days later.

The cause of death in the hospital was pneumonia, but the family members questioned her death from tooth extraction infection and were angry to report the case. On the 17th, the family members hoped that the prosecutor would be fair; the hospital said that before the operation, Zheng's related examinations and risk assessments were performed for Zheng's woman, and the postoperative condition was good. Regrets the case, but respects the opinions of family members.

According to Taiwan’s Apple News Network, Zheng female (34 years old) went to a clinic in Minxiong due to toothache and was referred to the hospital for treatment due to her serious condition. Zheng's father said that he accompanied his daughter to the Jiaji Dental Clinic at 9 am on the 4th. The doctor thought that the roots of his daughter's teeth were rotten and needed to be extracted. The treatment ended at 2 pm.

Unexpectedly, when the doctor came out, he said to him "helped your daughter pull 20 teeth." He was shocked, "Will this be too much extraction? Can she bear it? Doesn't it need to be hospitalized?" The doctor responded: "One tooth extraction is the same as a few extractions. Tooth extraction does not require hospitalization."

Father Zheng stated that his daughter had been unwell after returning home that day and did not sleep well all night. At 9 o'clock the next morning, when he wanted to take painkillers for his daughter, he found that her daughter was in a coma. He was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. Although the signs of life were restored after the rescue, the doctor judged that he was brain dead. His daughter stayed in the intensive care unit for 9 days before he reluctantly decided to extubate the tube on the 13th. His daughter was declared dead.

The family members could not accept the death of Zheng Nv's tooth after extraction, and it was even more furious when he learned that the cause of Zheng Nv's death was pneumonia. The cousin of Zheng Nv Cao believed that Nv Zheng was in good health on weekdays and could not die of pneumonia. It should be caused by infection caused by tooth extraction. Jiaji did not care afterwards, so she reported to the police. The procurator and the forensic doctor met on the 17th, and the family explained the cause and effect to the prosecutor, hoping to ask the prosecutor to help clarify the truth.

According to a report by Apple News in Taiwan, the hospital stated that Zheng was transferred from the clinic to the Jiaji Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic on October 30 due to complete tooth decay from her family, and arrangements were made after the attending doctor's visit on that day. The patient receives relevant preoperative examinations (blood draw, X-ray, electrocardiogram), and carries out surgical risk assessment and explanation.

The hospital pointed out that Zheng female came to the hospital for tooth extraction treatment on November 4, and the operation was performed under general anesthesia, and 20 residual roots were removed during the operation. After the operation, the Zheng woman was sent to the recovery room for observation for 2 hours. After measuring her blood pressure and blood oxygen, she was in good condition, and was given instructions on postoperative health education. Zheng was discharged from the hospital and returned home to rest on the same day.

Jiaji 12 and 13 both contacted their family members to express their concern. Regarding Zheng's death on the 13th and her family's disputes about infection caused by surgery, Jiaji regrets but respects her.
