A 62-year-old man was found dead in a taxi at Block 548A Segar Road on Monday morning (Aug 31).

A photo was posted in the Taxiuncle Facebook group of police officers at the scene.

The man is believed to be a taxi driver.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they received a call for assistance at 6.57am.

"A 62-year-old man was found motionless at the said location and was pronounced dead at scene by a paramedic," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Usually these news wont make it on newspapers.

During my time got many taxi and phv drivers past away while sleeping in their car.

I still remember one guy early 30s, left behind a newly wed wife and a infant.

Why should sinkies be driving and delivering food to FTs?

These sinkies are not lazy. Often working daily, or on average 50 to 60hrs per week to earn a paltry sum compared to the "minimum wage" E pass and S pass holders earn right now.

If anyone think otherwise, you should try signing a 3mths car rent contract, with only a starting sum of $500 for fuel and food.
