My opinion is that SIA

1) over acquired/operate too many airplanes!

2) No domestic flights due to other countries closing borders! Unlike malaysia or thailand, they could still fly domestically.  That's why MTI/SIA desperate to open "leg" borders so A/C can fly somewhere.

3) Hedging of fuel.  Keep loosing tons of $$$ like before.  Also related to too many operating A/C.  Am not an expert in this expect.  Maybe the person who is responsible for fuel planning & acquisition is really FU!

1) existing operating expenses r aircraft leases.

nb, sia cags dont know how to renego with leasers?????

2) hollowing out of industrial capabilities result in no cargo flights even.

song bo, loong loong????

3) no sakti trader will hedge until 5 yrs out but sia cags did.

if want to do 5 yr hedge, u do otc options and not use plain futures.

and u do variable hedge in response to market, not fully hedged like what book says.

this mistake is either greedy or inexperienced or plain stupid.
