Whiskey comes from the Gaelic word uisce/uisge which means water. In Latin, distilled alcohol is “aqua vitae” (water of life), and translated into Gaelic/Irish, it is “usisge beatha”, also “Water of Life”.

macallan is the rage now for investment with glenlivet close behind.

japanese yamazaki and hibiki r catching up fast in the last decade.

if u r seriously into wanting to buy for investment, keyword is limited release and special series.

will be much more expensive than the common 12 or 18, but the returns will more than justify the initial investment.

macallan rare cask will be ur best bet since all 3 r common releases.

if really wanting to invest in whisky, have a look at macallen reflexion or yamazaki reserve.

Me really into serious  investment just enough so I don't lose much money if I sell it

Or buy the wrong one that got no value

macallen rare cask 2020 is abt sgd400 or so while macallen reflexion is ard sgd1300.

the difference in retail price is due to using different cask and also production volume.

so to make the rite investment, check with a reputable liquor merchant on the whisky's production run.

the respective distillers will usually advertise on their websites to create buzz.

and then the trade journals such as drink business or whisky advocate will do a review.

now many of the liquor merchants will email clients list of upcoming releases as well.
