The_King
When Wisma Atria food enclave Picnic shuttered in October this year, its stalls - including popular American-style gourmet burger joint Omakase Burger - shuttered along with it. But OB is now back, with a standalone restaurant at Orchard Central. It’s located beside its sister concept SuperGreek, which also has a dedicated dine-in space within the same mall. Both brands are owned by Picnic’s founder Cheng Hsin-Yao. The 60-seat Omakase Burger space has an open concept. Unlike Picnic, which was self-service, staff members will bring food orders to your table here. Prices for the menu have also been adjusted for this new flagship eatery. A Classic Cheeseburger Set with fries (pictured) that used to cost around $21 at Picnic is now $17.90 at Orchard Central. OB’s burger patties are made with a proprietary four-cut American beef blend. On the other end of the price spectrum is the Premium Cheeseburger Set ($25.90), which consists of a classic four-cut beef blend cheeseburger piled with all the toppings OB offers, like applewood-smoked bacon, sautéed mushrooms, onions and jalapeños, plus a side of fries and a salad. To cater to bubble tea addicts, OB now has a small brown sugar BBT selection on its menu too. This includes Brown Sugar Boba Milk ($4.90), Milo Dinosaur Brown Sugar Boba ($5.90) and Green Tea Brown Sugar Boba ($4.90). Next to OB is its sister joint SuperGreek, which serves Mediterreanean fare like four types of gyros including Lamb Gyro ($17.90 for a wrap/ $22.90 for platter) and customisable Grain Bowls (from $9.90) with toppings like grilled pumpkin balls, Greek-style beef meatballs and lamb kebabs. #04-23 Orchard Central, 181 Orchard Rd, S238896. Open daily 11am-10pm. www.omakaseburger.com. \ Read more at https://www.8days.sg/eatanddrink/newsandopening/omakase-burger-reopens-with-milo-dino-bbt-14-90-off-peak-13538540
