like my friend in shanghai told me, the buildings  b4 2005 r relatively safer as developers were more safety orientated while building inspection and specification were tighter back then.

tiongland contractors r worse than the skoreans back in the 1990s.

 

when the skoreans started subcontracting internationally, they also cut some corners to grab market share b4 end-customers realized that it costs more to repair than the initial contract price, thats when they started bucking up so as to compete with the nippon kias.

 

the tiongs cut corners until the end product cant even meet the minimum contract specs and until now, i dont see them bucking up since they r mostly subcontracted from the major tiong developers/soes. for the foreign customers, it is only sightly better as the product can last 3 yrs b4 breaking down.

the tiong contractors r now very aggressive in winning ec contracts and sub-cons and much like in bolehsia, the contract price is unbelievably low.

 

with such low contract price, i dont think the quality can be any good since if the tiongs want to make profit, either i use sub-standard construction material or less than quality interior fittings or both.

Think it applies to buildings too.
