An 18-year-old girl was taken to hospital after a car hit her as she was crossing at the junction of Upper Changi Road and Simei Avenue on April 3.

Stomper Lee alerted Stomp to footage of the incident posted on SG Road Vigilante's YouTube channel on May 3.

In the video, the girl and another pedestrian are seen in the middle of the crossing when the Honda Freed hits her while making a right turn.

The girl is flung to the road and the other pedestrian is seen rushing to her side.

"It's really frustrating to have such drivers on the road," the post said.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 3.50pm.

The 18-year-old female pedestrian was conscious when taken to hospital, a police spokesman said.

A 56-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Better increase the jail sentence, fine and add in potong license for such dangerous driving.

I nearly got in accident 3 times at my nearby junction (with green man). 2 times was with my toddler kid. Thanks the gods for protecting me.

guessed correctly. its PHV. anyway that lorry also CB. people walking almost reaching half way point then lorry drove past.

should imposed heavier sentence to those who ply the road for business (delivery lorry/van driver, PHV, taxi, constructions trucks)
