The pork intestines was good. It gives a different texture to the smooth and soft Mee sua. They say Mee sua best friend is smelly tofu. Crispy on the outside, soft in the inside. Sauces were good and added chilli to give some kick to it. Pickled vegetables are incl. Walked around and who can resist fried calamari... A number of choices available. Had the Hokkaido squid. The squid though deep fried, it was succulent. The amount of spices added was just nice and no over powering. Last... Had to have so vege to complete the night. Grilled fat Japanese mushrooms. Bonus pic of them flaming the beef cubes. Mushrooms itself are of little to no flavors. The grilling released the natural mushrooms fragrance. Sauces were added to make it more flavorful. That completes my first day. You can choose sides if you want other than their lu you fan. The pig's intestines are well prepared with no odour. Century egg is delicious, the yolk is watery and flavorful. Ordered a small bowl of lu you fan, eat lesser to eat more. Took a train to Tamsui station and another taxi ride to Oia Cafe. Food there nothing to shout about. But there's a few roaming Alpacas. It's whole cuttlefish with the head. I got a habit not eating cuttlefish or squid without heads. Grilled with sauces and spices. Succulent, not too dry. Quail eggs freshly cooked. Freshly cracked and cooked. Not too cooked, it's still soft inside. You add the sauce and spices yourself. Walked around and spotted grilled wild boar on stick. Tender porks grilled on sticks. Didn't try the sausages. The pork was not overly grilled till dry. Big wild conch... It's flamed grilled/roasted. It went in the stomach before I could take pictures of it. Next up Taiwanese oyster omelette Ordered a few small dishes along with it. Oysters retains the juiciness. Fat and juicy oysters in soup. Pickled clams. Savoury and fresh. No odour. What a night it was... Finally got some boneless chicken feet to go along with beer in hotel... Ordered a platter and added king crabs. The seafood was fresh. Cook in Louisiana style. Took awhile to finish all the food. Gonna walk around to digest the food.
