just sharing.

High efficiency and electricity production no use if they are only using it to charge lower capacity batteries to provide lighting for the HDB open spaces .. If they use HDB rooftops and side cladding to put the panels and pump back to grid, then got use :(

so if morning sun, then afternoon it goes to sleep?

no maintenance it will crash down

Usually for fixed they put facing West/South West .. that direction the sun is strongest from noon onwards and highest potential generation. It is okay if strike at angle also. But generate at full efficiency all through the day got no use - cos they are probably using it to power smaller batteries in teh HDBs or nearby to power the void decks, passageways and outdoor lighting only. That won't take long to charge - like full sunny day 2-3 will charge finish the batteries. On cloudy day maybe take 8-10 hrs to charge - but then on cloudy day, you have it facing East/West/South/North doesn't matter - as long as not facing the earth can liao :(

Actually got use la .. lower electricity usage a bit, and power gen companies prolly get free $$ for green energy.

That said, if my house facing West or South, I'd be happy if this was sitting outside my apartment walls - will keep the home cooler cos of the shade and save on AC costs :( And hopefully won't have pigeons staying behind it and pooping

Spend so much for battery, I suggests they use grid as it cheaper

This one actually no brainer - they want to put solar panels can, but should pump into the grid and store at distributed locations around the island. But I think the gen-co all not ready with the equipment :(  Easy money from supplying to homes and offices with padded profit margins, why let go :(

Sg do it for show to tell the world we are high tech. Just like the simply go. Which is a downgrade. Cause upgrade mean add ( enhanced feature, downgrade mean remove

So I guessing it the same with the solar panel, spend as little as they can, make sure it look high tech is enough
