Taiwanese media outlet CTWANT quoted local police as saying a cleaner working at the Longshan Temple in the Wanhua District in Taipei found that the door of the women’s toilet in the basement could not be opened and did not get a response when she checked if anyone was inside at 2pm on Thursday. After she got the temple’s security to open the door, they found a woman’s body. She appeared to have been dead for some time. Paramedics who arrived moments later found that the woman was not breathing and had no heartbeat. Two notes were later discovered in the deceased woman’s bag, which contained messages such as “I’m sorry for troubling you. It’s very troublesome to clean up. Sorry, please forgive me.
