I already screwed up my SS S4 a few yrs ago trying to root it! Could turn on after that! only easy for Xiaomi (mi, redmi, realme, poco) phones as they officially allow unlocking of bootloader. my POCO still stuck in HK due to lockdown, will write something up once i have it already damn itchy to flash, everyday got about 10 new ROMs dropping for my new phone Edited April 19, 2022 by aaur4man

But bloat wear sucks! Not sure if i can over look the bloatwear. It uses its own proprietary app updator right? there is quite a difference between China MIUI and Global MIUI, so when reading the review, take note. China MIUI has alot more bloatware than Global. However since MIUI 13, it is possible to uninstall more bloat apps than before, and those that cant be uninstalled, can be hidden or disabled. of course there are still some MI core APP like security / cleaner that is built-in, so i avoid activating it (dont agree to T&C) their theme can also be changed easily to a vanilla pixel-like desktop and app drawer. i do that for my work phone cos all my phones layout are like that (pixel-like). however nothing beats flashing it with a custom ROM that are mostly based on AOSP (Android Open Source Project). That's as vanilla as you can go.
