Paper loss, for now
It's telling that he offloaded the airlines
I think he doesn't short because it is not aligned with his value investing principles

i think his fund had a realized loss of at least usd15bln from the sale of the airlines as he most likely suffered a 50% loss on those stakes.

the other usd30bln or so shld be paper loss.

his so-called value investing principles dont work in this time and age since there r hardly any more so-called value stocks and timing on stock buys/sells r more important.

warren is smarter than ur average investor, he wrote long term 15-20 yr put european put options.

and he made alot from the puts.

he took a leaf out from the biz cycle theory.

as we can see, he only paid lip service to his value investing principles.

i m wondering why no one is questioning on her salt bae buy.

if it happened in the norwegian swf, parliament will be in uproar over the loss.
