Mum slammed for being 'indiscreet' after breastfeeding child in middle of supermarket

A mum who breastfed her child in a supermarket aisle has been slammed for not being 'discreet' – but some people are on her side.

Feeding a baby is a natural act where some women chose to let their child suckle on their breast in public.

But for one parent, who goes by the name as Ms. Calcium Cannons, has caused quite the debate on TikTok.

As she boasts 108,000 followers on the social media app, the mum regularly posts breastfeeding videos that have been watched millions of times.

In a recent clip that racked up 3.5million views, Ms. Calcium Cannons took one of her boobs out of her purple tank top and held it to allow her child to eat while in the stationary aisle of a supermarket.

As her tot sat in the trolley and sucked on her nipple, the mum smiled at the camera and stroked her child's hair.

"The fact that people think feeding my child makes me a sloot(sic) is outrageous", Ms. Calcium Cannons wrote across the clip.

Despite being comfortable with nourishing her kid in the supermarket, not everyone was too pleased.

One person commented: "I FULLY support breastfeeding babies in public. But in the middle of a supermarket when that kid is enough to wait 20mins while you finish your shop."

Another user added: "I think everyone’s all for breastfeeding actually but just not so openly like that."

While a third blasted: "Wrong on so many levels."

A fourth expressed: "Do it discreetly. It should be a loving thing between mum and baby/toddler."

However, others took the mum's side and supported her to breastfeed so publicly.

One user defended: "People that hate it are putting themselves. It’s sad they can’t handle a mother feeding her child."

A second said: "As you should!!! I think I just got a bit more confidence to feed in public."

Meanwhile, another simply wrote: "Nature."

And, another declared: "You do you sis, people just need to chill out and start minding their own business."
