Well well
What happen to the low crime does not mean no crime
Punish to the fullest extent of the law
Full accountability and transparency
The buyers of HDB is not your top tier Civil Servants. These are the lower middle class
They need to be taught a lesson so no one else dare to make the same greedy mistake again.
If Teh Cheang Wan can be chastised till he commit suicide, no reason lowly servants can be given a chance
I am sure many are shivering in fear and are quietly funneling their wealth to wife and children now. So, announce that the long arm of the law will recoup all their ill gotten gains
If SG prominent family also need to cough out their illegal gains and allegedly donated them away to escape punishment, should not be a precedent. Civil servants need to be punished to bring the horde in line or else they will climb over us
Notice when it comes to this, they can never punish the perpetrators to the FULLEST EXTENT of the law
If it is people doing things to destabilise their authority, laws are thorough and inescapable
If money kept in banks need to be bound by laws to say x % must not be reinvested and insurance taken to assure up 70000
I dont see why the law cannot be adapted to such business practices.
I think a deep culling of civil servants need to be done. Too many things are left unattended and the usual excuse of short handed should not be accepted
Civil Servants are the single largest cohort of workers in Singapore. The IRON RICE BOWL exist. Let us be clear about it. The recent GovTech is just an anomaly.
