Return Right Buddies assist shoppers & train staff - Ambassadors: Deployed at busy HDB void deck machines - School & campus programmes to engage youth & students - Working with NEA to guide retailers, minimarts, F&B operators on scheme rules   📢 Background Complaints   Users reported machines failing to scan barcodes, missing refunds (e.g. counted fewer containers than inserted), rejecting valid marked containers, inconsistent operation. Tests also found containers sometimes only accepted when barcode facing up—operator noted this shouldn’t be required and is refining recognition.   Each eligible container gives 10¢ deposit refund via EZ-Link/SimplyGo/PAYLAH!.
