i recalled an economic seminar i attended on fdi in bolehsia.

 

the bolehsians were telling all the incentives that r now being used to attract fdis.

 

i just gave a simple conclusion to the participants.

 

b4 1989, foreign investors have limited investment destinations due to geopolitics.

 

now, the whole world is capitalist so a investor will invest where there r the least restrictions on investments and highest return.

 

bolehsia with its arcane quota system and indon with its redtapes will not be able to attract fdis due to all these restrictions.

so i just took my turn at the mic and gave them a 30 second econ 101 lecture.

 

this 30 second basically invalidated the whole seminar.
