The_King
In celebrating its silver anniversary, the Night Safari is welcoming local residents to its grounds for half the price over the course of its birthday week. Marking its 25th year with a celebration attended by Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and 55 guests from the Movement of the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (Minds) and their families, the world’s first nocturnal wildlife park said Singaporeans and permanent residents could purchase admission tickets for S$25 to use between May 25 to 31. (Usual price: $49/adults, $33/children.) During the anniversary event, guests had the opportunity to get up close with park animals like a Sunda pangolin, a reticulated python, and a Malay fish owl. Over the last five years, Wildlife Reserves Singapore has worked with the National Council of Social Service to offer free admission to over 14,000 beneficiaries of member organizations. Some of the Night Safari’s milestones over the past few decades include the birth of a giant flying squirrel in 2004, the world’s first Sunda pangolin exhibit to mimic the animal’s wild habitat in 2009, multiple wins for the best visitor attraction category awarded by the Singapore Tourism Board, and the globe’s first orthopaedic surgery on a Sunda pangolin this year. As part of the park’s anniversary celebrations, there’ll be activities like keeper interaction sessions, exclusive merch on sale, and a special edition of the safari adventure tour, where visitors can prepare a treat for the Asian elephants. https://coconuts.co/singapore/news/night-safari-commemorates-25th-anniversary-with-25-tickets-for-singapore-residents/
