an interesting case to note is isreal, which have also high inoculation rate but low wuhan infections.

 

many may argue that this doesnt mean the vaccines r effective but if look in-depth, this doesnt carry water statistically.

 

isreal was in lock-down since mid dec 2020 til early mar and mass vaccination was carried out during this 3 mths period while chile started mass vaccination in dec 2020 and was not placed under lockdown again until early mar 2021.

 

if a simple correlation testing was done on the isreali sample, it would have shown the vaccines to be effective but  the truth is that there is an effective 3 mths lockdown during the mass vaccination, which would have introduced significant biasness into the data.

 

even if a hypothesis testing using dummy variable is used on the isreali data, the biasness introduced by the lock-down would have essentially rendered the data useless.

 

the better and more accurate data to use would be the chilean data since mass vaccination was carried out when there was no strict lockdown.

 

even the singapore data can be used for hypothesis testing since the mass vaccination drive only started in earnest early this yr b4 the latest restrictions r in place.

 

i m waiting to see if any pharma will attempt to use the chilean data or even the singapore data to prove the effectiveness of the vaccines.

its beyond me that none of the health authorities r doing a stats review based on the data available as per standard procedure for any new vaccination program.

did u noticed that the chance of getting a severe reaction from the vaccine is more than the chance of striking toto 4d????

 

twice or slightly higher????

 

the vaccination doses r less than 10m but sgp alrdy has ard 2000 cases of severe reaction liao.
