The_King Posted May 24, 2021 Share Posted May 24, 2021 PATNA: A man allegedly killed his elder brother’s wife by stabbing her multiple times in neck after raping her at a village under Barharia police station area in Siwan district in the wee hours of Sunday. The slain woman was aged around 25 years and lived with her parents since last one year at Pakri. The culprit is around 22 years of age. He was arrested from at 3pm on Sunday, within 12 hours of the killing. Barharia police station SHO said that the murder took place in a field outside the woman’s parental residence between 2am to 3am on Sunday. “She was stabbed at least five to six times in the neck. Her body was lying in a pool of blood and didn’t had any cloth below the waist. Her trouser was found lying beside the body. Prima facie it seems she was murdered after rape. Things would become further clear after the police gets post-mortem report,” he said. SHO said that the knife used in killing the victim was also recovered around 10-12 metres away from the spot by police. “The accused reached her residence on cycle from Parshurampur at around 7pm on Saturday. After having dinner, he went to sleep. Rest of the family members including the victim, her son and parents also went to sleep,” he said. SHO said that police suspects that the woman might have woke up between 2am to 3am to relieve herself for which she went toward the open fields. “The accused followed her. He raped and then killed her. The victim’s father has lodged an FIR against the man for raping and killing his daughter,” he said. SHO said that after killing, he immediately fled on the cycle from where he was finally arrested. “Family members got to know about the murder at around 4am after which they immediately informed police,” SHO said.
