Moderators invis Posted November 18, 2018 Author Moderators Share Posted November 18, 2018 The Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix underwent a lengthy delay on Sunday night after a high-speed crash saw Sophia Florsch’s car fly over the barrier in a terrifying incident. The German was transferred to hospital as the race was stopped after she was launched into the air and over the crash barriers following a shunt at Lisboa Bend. It was confirmed that the 17-year-old had suffered a spinal fracture in the crash, while two photographers and one race marshal were also taken to have treatment. The collision with Sho Tsuboi’s TOM car, which was during the opening lap of the race, caused her to lose her wheels with the car going through the debris fencing and striking a photographers’ bunker and landing back on its wheels. As well as Florsch’s injuries, a medical report confirmed photographer Chan Weng Wang had suffered a laceration of the liver while colleague Minami Hiroyuki had a concussion. Race marshal Chan Cha was left with a broken jaw with the driver Florsch collided with Tsuboi was complaining of back pain.
