  1. up-market branded cosmetic and skin-care products abt 30% cheaper in sgp compared to china. so everytime i go shanghai, my atb gf will give me 2 lists. one is what she wants me to buy for her. the other is what she wants to dai buy for her friends.
  2. as i understand from the main franchisee, there is s slight twit in the syrup and mixture dosage being used in the restaurant. thats why those sold in a&w better taste better than ntuc.
  3. the chicken coney tastes better. but the waffle and rootbeer float still taste good.
  4. kgk xdd jin song. first thing of the week can visit atb gf. when was the last time i have time to visit atb gf........
  5. theres someone behind the tree who i presume to be ol aunty. dont tell me the person is a biantai uncle wanting to eat the xdds' pgds
  6. not surprising. sasa targets mass market so is more middle class in terms of spending. under a more subdued economic environment, of cos less discretionary spending on cosmetic but u will still be willing to spend for quality skin care products. secondly, the quality of sasa products is lower than sephora, thus, most will choose to buy at sephora, especially for skin care. lastly but not least, the influx of cheap korean cosmetic kits basically outpriced those at sasa.
  7. alrdy said a long time ago that an economy which is highly dependent of tourism and retail is always a boom-and-bust strategy, but loong loong too stupid and stubborn to listen. bte, most atbs r willing to spend in sephora, so sephora is safe for the time being. dont believe, can confirm with our in-house atb sexperts @HarrisY kgk xdd and @meng.huat kor kor. sasa is targeted at young ols and teenage girls so their product range is usually cosmetic and lower-end skin care products while sephora carries mostly upmarket brands catering to those with upper-middle class spending power or kgks wanting to impress their atb gfs.
  8. checking with @beyond zz and @chamfer zz, r u ladies members of sasa?????
  9. aunty ol go park for a walk. saw 2 xdds fighting with each other. what will she do to stop them fighting, kgk xdd????
  10. walk the talk b4 commenting, stupid edb md. what signal is the govt sending when dbs, the national champion bank and majority govt-owned, is having a failed indian entrepreneur as ceo???? the reason why there r not many sgp-born ceos is becos most mncs prefer hiring their own nationality of origin as their person in charge. none of the jap/american/european banks/mnc i have biz dealings with have a local as their trading chief or cio, whats more as the ceo. secondly, as most of the local-incorporated big companies r majority family-owned, they dont welcome outsiders as ceo no matter how incompetent their own blood is. the only exception maybe wilmar becos their american partner insist on best practice, so their operations r very professionalized to the degree that their board consists only of 2 other kuoks who r non-excutive.
  11. alrdy have many prominent economists warn the Emperor over the past 3 yrs. but the Emperor too stubborn and stupid to listen.
  12. this is what happened when u put a politician/bootlicker/saf colonel in leadership position.
  13. in sgp, retired athletes become grab drivers. many-a-times, the sgp system doesnt plan for their retirement. a good model sgp can emulate is downunder whereby many retired athletes, especially for those who r less known, become teachers and part-time coaches in schools.
  14. really is meitu-lized gao gao. skin tone lightened while eyes r made rounder and bigger.
  15. mid valley southkey mall is quite well designed but i really have my doubts on the overall project on my last all expense-paid evaluation trip there. supposedly will have 3 hotels with 5-star rating and a mixed commercial-retail-residential development, much like their mid valley kl development. the pricing the developer gave me is more expensive than kl price. i really cant see where the buyers for this jb development will come from despite my contact's best effort to con me. except for the shopping mall and a few rows of completed plus partially-occupied shophouses, basically there r no other new construction work going on. my guess is that they r having a hard time attracting the kgks and securing bank financing. havent go toppen yet since no one offering me all expense-paid trip there.
  16. theres a serious work ethics issue in sgp football whereby the players r not working as hard as they r supposed to as professionals. look at how hard albirex niigata trains will put all the s-league teams and most of the teams in sea to shame. https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/society/article/3011755/how-japanese-club-albirex-niigata-scored-big-singapore-soccer secondly, it is to do with the football program at the national level. in nippon, football is a compulsory class for school students and they have a high school tournament which is nationally televised. with such a national program, this makes it easier to spot and train talents. there is much sgp can learn from the nippons.
  17. so kgk xdd going to enrol in ntu grad political economic course using psea and skillfuture credit???? but since u only o-level, need to go poly study for diploma first. total all in, u need to study 5-6 yrs to go grad school. by the time u finish, the young aunty professor is alrdy old aunty.
  18. sgp manufacturing numbers r exposed to order front-loading excessively due to its open nature, thus the wide fluctuation. a more accurate manufacturing number is using the seasonally adjusted number. taken together with the seasonally adjusted export figure will then give the true health of the economy. a falling seasonally adjusted nodex with a rising seasonally adjusted manufacturing number means there is substantial order front-loading. this means high possibility of further contraction ahead when the forward orders r digested.
  19. dont worry. the tycoons from hk and mainland will come in support the sgp market.
  20. looks like a cheap good buy. but unfortunately, gic/temasek dont see the value. they prefer to invest in start-ups like grab instead.
  21. ts shld really learn from kgk xdd @HarrisY . everywhere this kgk xdd goes, he can find atb pgds and first-rate cai pngs to jiak.
  22. thats why i say if sgp govt gives lao tiko bizman me a one-off 5yr sgd500m budget, confirm i can whip up a 2030 world cup qualifying team. makes one wonder how the sports budget is really being spent when sgp drops further down the fifa ranking.
