Many foreign companies especially use Sg as a source of easy funding!     Many startup from India, Asia and even EU, knows its tough for them to get get funding in their own countries due to stringent due diligence!    So they come to Sg, as they know Sg is "cash rich" and easy to get funding.  All they need is a good pitch and sound like they know what they are doing!    Just look at our famous "buy high sell low" temsick and GIC.      p.s. i am not refering to Manus company.

I am not refering to any particular stall, just saying in general.   Many HC/Kopitiam malay stall increase price during CNY.    On These Malay stalls, Its not like they scarifies their new year to cook for Chinese.  If Hari Raya, i can understand.     Songbo!
