    • Nowadays need to be extra vigilant.   Not so long ago i was aiming for a robot vac cum mop. Saw on an eCom site (popular one) that there will be a special price but only limited qty. Can be bought exactly at the time stated. Cannot add to cart before hand.   So, my wife and I stayed up to use 2 comps to click as we need to get one for daughter too.   Clicked and rejoiced that we got the 2 qty.   2 days later (before it was delivered), we went down to Funan. Saw the company has a small shop there (maybe a popup). Decided to go in and look at the physical product and ask some questions on its use.   Salespeople ask us if we are keen as there is a promo for it. We told them we already grabbed 2 units on promo on an eComm site. Told them the price.   Lo and behold. Their promo is so much cheaper and it comes with a bunch of accessories and items for free. Guess what, salesperson ask us to go online to eComm site and cancel and they can order for us.   LOL. We ended up with a cheaper product and a bunch of pads and soaps for free.   So the moral of the story is. Dont get fooled by all these online gimmicks that urge you to make a decision in haste. Sometimes it could be cheaper if you were to go down to shop.   Another case in point. Saw on another car site that a new car for brand X is going for nnK discount. Went down to look see look see. Guess what. Salesperson open mouth already beat the online discount. Still come with 3 yrs warranty and 3 yrs free service plus all the usual - film, camera, mat. Hey even the must take 7 yrs loan of XX amount also can change. End up took a 1 yr loan of an inconsequential amount and still enjoy the xx dollars discount.    They also ask me if I want to guarantee the COE. I told them no. If no COE by Dec bid then can null and void. Voila. First Dec bid already get it with no guarantee.    I think timing matters. Dec is where they need to account for their sales target to principle. Also, need to wrap up revenue for bonus. And probably need to get rid of 2025 stocks for 2026 stocks.   I think will go down to tyre shop with new car soon and see if the online price can be beaten. LOL again.   Cheers
