socrates469bc Posted March 22, 2020 Share Posted March 22, 2020 the key word here is prevention which the taiwanese r doing a very good job via controlling travel flow into taiwan and monitoring the quarantined. what is surprising is that when u compared the effort of the americans and the taiwanese, the americans also did the same thing at the same time as the taiwanese but they still failed to contain the outbreak. the americans were actually one of the first to ban travelers with tiong travel history, advise americans from tiong travel and to quarantine tiong travelers in early jan b4 a blanket travel ban. but somehow or other, there is a hole somewhere in the system that failed the containment. i suspect the hole came from the europeans becos they were very lax in their prevention of the outbreak during jan/feb, not imposing any travel restrictions until too late. the americans r having it easy since there r no big clusters of infections like in bolehsia/pinoyland/kimchiland. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
