If your next flight to or via Singapore Changi Airport originates from India, you are eligible for e-vouchers of up to SGD 20 to spend at the airport. As travel demand continues to bounce back, Changi is doing its bit to ensure a steady flow of travelers through such promotions.

Of course, Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) also remains one of the top choices, and the airport has made transiting via its terminal even more attractive by offering e-vouchers to spend at its premises.

Depending upon your flight, whether it ends in Singapore or is a return connection via Changi, passengers are now entitled to e-vouchers up to SGD 20 to spend at the airport. The attempt to attract passengers from India, so they choose Changi over other hubs in the region, suggests the importance of India as a market for carriers and airports in the region.

Eligibility to claim the offer

Only those passengers whose booking itineraries have India as the point of origin are eligible for the offer. Flights between Singapore and India must also be direct services. The offer is valid for travel between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024 (both dates inclusive).

Passengers transiting via Changi will get an SGD 10 e-voucher for each one-way transit through the airport, while those taking a roundtrip from Singapore will get a single SGD 10 voucher.

This offer is available to all travelers who are traveling on ticketed and operated outbound flights from 17 cities in India – Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, Pune, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam.

Passengers traveling to Singapore must have a return trip booked back to India, and a single one-way ticket to Singapore is not included in this offer. Similarly, passengers who have a one-way transit trip via Changi must have India as their point of origin. For example, someone traveling from Delhi to Sydney via Singapore is eligible, but those traveling from Sydney to Delhi via Changi are not.

Also, for passengers transiting via Changi Airport, at least one transit flight in the booking itinerary must have a layover of no more than 24 hours. For travelers between the ages of 2 and 16, family members of traveling companions must collect their vouchers. An unaccompanied minor below 16 is not eligible for the offer. Other details can be found on the Singapore Changi Airport website.

Passenger growth

Singapore Changi has witnessed remarkable post-pandemic growth in the last several months. It handled almost 60 million passengers in 2023 and looks to make a full recovery in the next few months.

For the airport’s services to Europe, South Asia, and the Southwest Pacific, traffic is registering more than 90% of pre-pandemic levels, and the Singapore Airlines Group is driving Changi’s recovery significantly, too. Here’s hoping the latest promotion helps drive more traffic to the airport.
