[Travel] Jeju/Busan driving sexperience

Sharing my sexperience weeks ago.

Rental: Lotte (easy registration and book your desired car(Hyundai, Kia, Sanyong)

Pre trip: get international driving license

 

Place#1

Jeju: previously had drove Kia before so booked a Hyundai Palisade(bigger group so need a bigger car). 

Reached Jeju then take lotte shuttle to car collection place. Collected queue number for registration and got informed CDW insurance covers everything so just pay for rental and insurance. After registration, you'll be directed to carpark lot to your assigned car. The staff there will run through the car(fuel, gps, etc) with you and off you go.

Jeju auto house area not a lot of cars so easy to start off. 

 

Rule #1 driving in sk. Right turn on red if no traffic. 

Rule #2 when comes to cross junction whoever on left has priority but noticed whoever comes first go first. 

 

Summary: driving in Jeju is safe n ppl more friendly than mainland. Driving is relative easy except for roads near neighborhood where it becomes 1 lane so needa go slow n make sure your car can get through. Carpark mostly free. 

One very boliao safety they have is some road camera is 30km/h so u need to slow down else will tio summon. When topup fuel needs check what your car is on. Pay on the terminal then pump. Note: Some kiosk is not for diesel or gasoline.

 

Car review: Palisade is heavy n many times need heavier foot to get it going smooth. Boot can take 3 big luggage+ wheelchair. Don't think will pick this model again. Likely will go for KIA.

Haha ya I rmb Jeju got this left turn on red rule or smth

 

And yes the speed limit. Even on straight road have to drive slowly and sometimes will feel sleepy
