RIP: Motorcyclist dies in accident along Simei Road, lorry driver arrested

A 34-year-old motorcyclist died after an accident involving his motorcycle and a lorry along Simei Avenue on July 28.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the accident occurred at around 10am outside ITE College East.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a video posted on Facebook, broken pieces of the motorcycle were seen scattered on the road near a blue death tent.

According to eyewitnesses, there was a pool of blood left on the road after the rider's body was moved from the scene.

In response to media queries, the police said the 34-year-old lorry driver has been arrested for causing death by negligent driving.

Investigations are ongoing.
