Tried Debian 10, but the lack of drivers and support for some of the software I use was a little annoying

i thinking install Debian 11 with KDE plasma, but how does it work on a standard intel pc? debian is supposedly most stable Linux OS right.

For first time linux users, you can try running linux from a bootable USB

Ubuntu is considered the most "user friendly" distro, it's based on Debian but has some mods to make your life easier

Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu, but includes non-FOSS drivers (which Ubuntu refuses to include). It's my fav distro so far.

Usually the user progression is Live USB > dual boot > pure linux with windows on VM > pure archlinux

I'm stage 3
