Would you say that to strangers when you are offering some food out of compassion when you see that they are hungry???

Because you will not know what type of entities are around. There is more than ghosts around us as there are many planes in this universe.

I'm considered as borderline high blood pressure. Doctor advise me to cut down on salt and processed food. I love bacon,ham and sausages very much that i could eat them everyday but i can't eat them often :(

I'm using a cardboard box which i picked up from ntuc and put a plastic bag inside as my recycle bin. I just take the plastic bag out when full and replace aother plastic bag inside the cardboard box. I see no need to have a plastic bin.

Time to stock up on N95....

Love to eat laksa but have to control the urge to eat it regularly as my tcm doctor advised me to cut down on spicy food...

It's not only 1st,15th,and 30th of 7th month that you can pray and burn paper offering to '好兄弟'.

Last time when i was young i saw people praying and burning paper offerings at the roadside at the whole of 7th month.

My place here is getting lesser and lesser people doing this practice as the years goes by. I only see old people and a few aunties and uncles doing it.

My parental house does make offerings on 1st and 15th of every lunar month (including 7th month)as there is ancestral tablet.

I do burn individual packages (with their names written on it)of paper offerings and paper money to my late mother/grandmothers/grandfathers during the 7th month and 清明节.

I try to pass down this practice to my kid.

Most people buy pre-pack package which contains the essential items. Some will buy 发糕/packet drinks/biscuits etc to pray. Depends on individual.

Just don't mention your personal info while praying or burning of paper offerings.

What @The_King meant is the food label got list out the percentage of that particular ingredient which in fact all food labels in sg does not do that.

This was on my thoughts a few years back.... depression really can take a toll on mental well being.

But it's peaceful times that i always see them taking cartons of bottled water in ntuc trolleys. It's as though our tap water is not fit for human consumption.

Once i ask an ex pinoy colleague why she buy bottled water when i saw her at ntuc. She told me the whole family drinks only bottled water and she make milk for her baby with bottled water.

She only use tap water for washing purpose.....
