38-year-old man detained at Orchard MRT after exhibiting unusual behaviour on board train A 38-year-old man was apprehended under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act 2008 at Orchard MRT station on Sunday (1 Nov) after reportedly harassing a passenger. Footage of the incident posted on TikTok showed him being detained by four police officers at the station concourse. A 38-year-old man was apprehended along Orchard Boulevard under Section 7 of the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act 2008, which states that the police can apprehend anyone believed to be a danger to themselves or others.   No injuries were reported, SPF added. Man reportedly detained for harassing passenger The man was detained for harassing another passenger, 8world News reported based on its understanding of the matter. According to AsiaOne, he was seen behaving unusually while on board a train.
