The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is looking into an incident where a diner was allegedly served undercooked chicken at Universal Studios Singapore (USS).
### The Incident
A diner named Chew reported that he ordered a **Chicken Parmigiana set meal** costing $42 at **Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor** inside USS on June 24 at approximately 4:13 PM.
Upon cutting into the chicken, he observed distinct pink meat on his plate and believed it to be clearly undercooked.
### The Restaurant's Response
Chew brought the dish to the service counter to alert the staff. After taking the plate to the kitchen to consult with the chef, a staff member returned and assured him that the chicken was safe to eat, stating:
> *"I can assure you that this is not raw. It’s the seasoning of the chicken, maybe some onions inside the seasoning."*

The diner asked for a replacement but was told it would take 20 minutes to prepare. Because he was rushing to catch the 4:15 PM "Bumble Beats" live performance, he chose not to wait, left the food entirely uneaten, and did not receive a refund.
### SFA and Official Statements
On July 3, 2026, the SFA confirmed that it is investigating the matter. An SFA spokesperson noted that they may reach out to the customer to gather further evidence and will take enforcement action if necessary.
The SFA reminded food operators of their joint responsibility to maintain strict food hygiene and proper preparation standards. They explicitly noted on their portal that *"meat that is pink indicates that it is not cooked thoroughly"* to kill harmful bacteria and prevent foodborne illnesses.
