    • Hi guys, just sharing air con installation experience from Gain city. Can share for awareness I purchase air con and washer during group but few weekends ago. The original installation weekend appointment was scheduled after 2:00 PM, and this timing was reconfirmed by GC service centre lady a day prior, shifted to 1:30 PM because she told me the installers has no job in morning can come half hour early so change from 2pm to 1.30pm. However, on actual day, the installation team arrived at 11:00 AM without prior notice. As I was not at home, this caused significant inconvenience, and I was unexpectedly asked to return home on short notice to accommodate the installation. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. During installation, the liquid copper pipe was cut too short, leaving an approximate gap of 80mm between the fan coil connection point and the pipe. Despite me raising this concern early, the worker dismissed it and proposed welding to extend the pipe, which I found unacceptable. The worker even smoke me say that the pipe shortfall is 20mm. Upon inspection, it’s 80mm short after factoring bending of pipe in trunking. evidence of dishonest GC worker. Their alibaba or “so call engineering” solution involved excessive taping of insulation to create slack, effectively reducing insulation thickness and compromising quality. When I instructed them to stop, their response was unprofessional. They then shifted my fan coil unit to the right to couple the short copper pipe. This was carried out using crowbar to remove bracket screws, resulting in visible wall damage and poorly finished installation with noticeable gaps. Why use crowbar? Because they hammer the rubber screw plug and screw into the wall during the installation of wall bracket. Proper way is to insert the rubber plug in the wall first then screw in. I paid painters to paint my wall with oil sealant and paint coat and these workers ruin it. They didn’t even bother putty the old wall holes. The worker also drive the screws 45 degree to the wall to mount the wall bracket. He nonchalantly hammer the screw to straighten it when I told him to do properly. No heart do work Additional inappropriate actions include: -Uneven and poorly sealed wall finishes using putty, later covered in a manner that caused cracking -Improper drainage pipe installation with incorrect gradient direction -Use of my kitchen sink to wash putty materials, which led to clogging and dirty sink. -Cutting of insulation in trunking with no reinstatement of the pipe insulation integrity -The workmanship displayed a serious lack of professionalism, care, and quality assurance. This experience has caused frustration and doubts, especially given the expectation of reliability and standards associated with such big reputable company. Lesson learnt : recommend buy from small retail air con company or Shopee or Lazada platform. . I’m sure you can get better specs system from small retailer for the price I paid to GC during promo period . I reckon whoever you buy from whether GC or small retail shop, there is always buyer remorse due to possible poor workmanship or material defect etc so might as well buy from small retail and enjoy better specs system with the same price u pay at GC. Don’t be generous to workers. I serve them cold drink and let charge their phone in my premises and that’s on me. There’s always hits and misses. Don’t be stupid like me buy from big retail conpany. Kthxbye     Gaps in trunking   Drain pipe angled wrong direction condensate water cannot discharge stuck in pipe       Wide gap between aircon and wall due to poor alignment of bracket     Multiple holes to mount bracket . Ruin my painted wall     Copper pipe cut too short . Worker smoke me say only 20mm. I check and it’s about 80mm after bending the pipe into the trunking
