Singapore nightclub DJ Sakura Soh will be embarking on a new career path – entering Japan's adult film industry after going from a nightclub DJ to an OnlyFans creator.
Soh was previously active as a nightclub DJ in various parts of Asia, Vibes 8world reported, adding that she gained quite a number of fans because she had a youthful image and unique appearance.
However, her career in the nightlife industry was significantly impacted by the pandemic, which made her venture into OnlyFans while planning for her future.
New career path
In the face of this new challenge, Soh said that she has watched Japanese adult films since she was young and considers this an item on her "bucket list".
As such, she did not hesitate to accept the offer from the film company in Japan.
In preparation for her debut, Soh has travelled to Japan several times to undergo training in terms of filming techniques and acting.
She also wishes to present a more mature image that is different from her previous innocent image.
"I hope viewers will be able to feel the hard work and authenticity I present in front of the camera," she said.
"This to me is a huge breakthrough and I hope to show everyone a different side of myself."
Not quitting being a DJ
According to sources, 8world reported that this collaboration is set to be part of a long-term plan where Soh is expected to successively release works while expanding her career in Japan and Asia markets.
In response to whether this signals the end of her DJ career, Soh said that it is not the case.
"I plan to tour more countries in 2026, and this is just another new beginning in my life," she said.
SINGAPORE: More than 500kg of cannabis was seized from a 20-foot container at Pasir Panjang Scanning Station on Saturday (Jan 3).
The inbound container was identified for enhanced checks following information received by Singapore Customs, said the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) in a joint media release on Friday.
During the checks, anomalies were detected in the scanned images of the container.
ICA officers then found one packet of brownish substance suspected to be a controlled drug inside a box within the container.
Further checks uncovered a total of 902 packets of cannabis, weighing about 509kg. CNA understands this is Singapore’s largest cannabis seizure in two years.

"Preliminary investigations found that the drugs were transiting through Singapore and bound for another country," the authorities said, adding that investigations are ongoing.
CNB did not elaborate when asked about the origin and final destination of the shipment, adding that it was "in touch with its foreign counterpart to obtain and share information to aid investigations".
Anyone found guilty of importing into or exporting from Singapore more than 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty.
ICA said it will continue to leverage technology and data analytics to strengthen detection capabilities.
"We will also work with the various agencies to conduct security checks at the checkpoints to prevent attempts to smuggle drugs, undesirable persons, weapons, explosives and other contrabands across our borders," the agencies added.
