https://mothership.sg/2025/11/youth-extort-girl-breast-video/     A 17-year-old boy in Singapore befriended a 15-year-old girl online in 2023 and convinced her to expose herself via a video call. Unbeknownst to her, he recorded the girl and later used it to extort money from her, threatening to release the video if she did not do so. The man, now 19, pleaded guilty to two charges, including extortion and recording a private video without consent, with a third charge taken into consideration for sentencing. As both the victim and the offender were under 18 at the time of the incident, any information leading to their identification cannot be published under the Children and Young Persons Act.   Met on TikTok   According to court documents seen by Mothership, the offender met the victim through TikTok in July 2023, and subsequently started chatting on Instagram. He then requested a video call with the victim, during which he first persuaded her to take off her t-shirt to expose her bra, and then further asked her to unbutton it to expose her breasts. Without the victim's knowledge, he secretly recorded a video of her exposing her breasts.   Extorted money   On Feb. 22, 2024, the offender messaged the victim to chat. They chatted for about two hours before he suddenly asked her for S$200. He wrote: “I want $200 in cash by next Monday. If u block me, I’ll post ur nudes online. If u tell ANYONE and I find out, I’ll post ur nudes online. Reply in 1 hour or I’ll post the nudes online”. The frightened victim called her teacher for help, who eventually alerted the police.   15 months probation   The offender pleaded guilty in October and was sentenced on Nov. 18 to 15 months of supervised probation, during which he must remain indoors from 10pm to 6am the following morning. He is also required to complete 80 hours of community service. His parents are also required to provide S$5,000 bail to ensure his good behaviour during the probation period. Top photos from Canva
