An SMRT double-decker bus was left with a fist-sized hole on its glass panel after reportedly being hit by a foreign object along Orchard Road on Saturday, Jul. 5.
The incident took place around 6:45pm, Lianhe Zaobao reported.
According to a post posted by the user "是cc啊" on Xiaohongshu, the bus was driving in front of The Heeren on Orchard Road.
A hole then suddenly appeared in the glass of the upper window of the bus, and the glass had cracked.

Bottle thrown towards bus
Deputy Managing Director of SMRT Buses Vincent Gay told Mothership that a member of the public had thrown a bottle at bus 190 when it was driving along Orchard Road, causing the glass on the upper window to break.
The bus driver stopped the bus to ensure the safety of the passengers.
All passengers were then transferred to another bus to continue their journey.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call for assistance at about 6:45pm on Jul. 5.
One person was conveyed to Raffles Hospital.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) told Mothership that a 57-year-old female bus passenger was sent to the hospital for treatment while conscious.
Police investigations are ongoing.
