A 22-year-old man was taken to hospital on Nov 26 after he was attacked at a housing block in Punggol.
Police said they received a call for assistance at Block 622A Punggol Central at around 8pm.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the man was taken conscious to Changi General Hospital.
There was a trail of blood about 100m long between Block 622A and Block 622B, reported Chinese-language daily Shin Min Daily News.
Pictures taken by Shin Min also show blood spattered on the floors of a lift, lift landing, void deck and a stairway wall.
By 11pm on Nov 26, the police had removed the cordon, but more than 10 police and Criminal Investigation Department officers were at the scene, reported Shin Min.
Police have not made any arrests so far, and investigations are ongoing.
