If you are willing to be more practical and don’t worry about branding you can save a lot of money. I only go for this brand and I encourage you to try doesn’t it look smart? It’s a good choice.

Went for an expensive haircut near home yesterday before leaving Bangkok. Charged 120 baht or $5 so why is it expensive you may ask? Well it’s 50% more than my regular 80 baht hair cut. Nevertheless this young man looks more professional compared to the usual old man. Also his shop look very clean and well equipped more like a salon than a barbershop. Had a very satisfactory haircut I must say will come back in say 2 weeks time.

I really have no idea how much the plate of sashimi costs but this meal costs 12,639 baht ($530) inclusive of tax. Also include 2 bottles of sake 2,000 baht each and 6 large bottles of Singha beer for the chefs, so drinks itself is already 5,000 baht or $210. I expect this sashimi alone to cost at least $600 in Singapore with such quality I mean.
-
Before you say this meal is expensive be fair and ask yourself how much is this meal going to cost in Singapore, I mean prices are very subjective if we do not put this into perspective . So will be good to ask this meal with 2 big bottles of sake how much is it going to cost at a high end restaurant like this 70-80% customers are Japanese executives.

I am very lucky to be living in Bangkok where one could find great international food here and most of the time cheaper than in the original country. For a person who travel much I am quite particular with food quality and coming from Singapore I know how ridiculous "good food" can cost. Bangkok has a large Japanese community living here as there are many Japanese factories and businesses located here as such Japanese food here is in the level same as in Japan, so say the Japanese professionals I encountered here who swear by it and often claimed Bangkok to have the best compared to the other cities around this region. Best as in the freshness, quality of cooking and prices. If one likes fresh sashimi I highly recommend Sushi Tsukiji in Thaniya. Fresh seafood is airflow in twice a week directly from Japan. Starters, tofu with minced pork Fermented squid with Thai herbs Grilled ginkgo Grilled chili, we had 3 servings of this The master preparing our sashimi Finally
