SINGAPORE – A man has been arrested after he allegedly injured a teenager with a pair of pliers during a dispute in Yishun. In a statement on Aug 3, the police said they received a call for assistance in Yishun Ring Road at about 7pm on Aug 2. Investigations found that the man had been involved in a dispute with a 14-year-old earlier that day, in relation to an incident involving the man’s power-assisted bicycle and the teenager’s e-scooter, resulting in damage to the man’s personal property, the police said.   During the dispute, the 39-year-old man used a pair of pliers on the teenager, causing superficial injuries, the police added. The man is set to be charged on Aug 4 with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means. If found guilty, he could be jailed for up to seven years, as well as caned, fined, or both.
