    • 🚒 SCDF to end non-emergency ambulance hotline in 2027   SCDF's 995 emergency services will not be affected.   READ: https://asia1.news/3RcC8wH   Follow @AsiaOnecom for all the latest updates.     The **Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)**, alongside the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), announced that the **1777 non-emergency ambulance hotline** will officially cease operations on **January 1, 2027**. The full details behind this operational shift, the reasons for phasing it out, and what alternatives are available are outlined below.   ### 1. Why is the 1777 Hotline Being Phased Out? The 1777 hotline was first introduced in 1998 as a centralized referral platform to connect the public with Private Ambulance Operators (PAOs). The original goal was to filter out non-critical cases and protect 995 resources for life-threatening emergencies.   The decision to end the hotline comes down to two major shifts:  * **Extremely Low Usage:** Despite having 24 private operators onboarded to the 1777 framework, data shows that **only about 6%** of all private ambulance bookings today are made through the 1777 number.  * **Abundant Alternative Choices:** In 1998, ride-hailing services, extensive teleconsultation networks, and widespread 24-hour general practitioner (GP) clinics did not exist. Today, the public relies heavily on these alternative transport and medical pathways for non-emergencies.   ### 2. SCDF 995 Emergency Services Remain Unchanged This change **will not affect** SCDF’s primary **995 emergency hotline**.   SCDF will continue to dispatch its emergency medical services for life-threatening situations (e.g., cardiac arrest, severe stroke, major trauma). However, the public is strictly reminded to reserve 995 for real emergencies. Under existing policy, SCDF emergency ambulances will not convey non-emergency cases to the hospital.   ### 3. Alternative Pathways for the Public (Post-1777) Once the hotline shuts down, individuals who require non-emergency medical transport or medical advice have several clear channels to use:    * **For Non-Emergency Ambulance Transport:** Members of the public can contact Private Ambulance Operators (PAOs) directly. A full directory of certified operators, along with their contact numbers and standard fees, is available via the government directory at **go.gov.sg/pao**.    * **For On-the-Spot Medical Advice:** Anyone unsure about whether a medical condition requires an emergency department visit can call the **NurseFirst hotline at 6262 6262**. Trained nurses staff this line 24/7 to advise callers on appropriate care options (such as visiting a nearby GP or an Urgent Care Centre).    * **995 Non-Emergency Diversion:** Moving forward, any calls made to 995 that are assessed by dispatchers to be non-emergencies will be automatically routed to the NurseFirst helpline for medical advice.   > ⚠️ **Key Takeaway:** If it's a life-threatening emergency, continue to call **995**. For non-emergency medical transport after Jan 1, 2027, book directly with a private operator or consider standard transport (taxis/ride-hailing) to a nearby clinic. >
    • If he gets backed. Anyway I edited, see again
    • So jialat meh? I thought Carrick is winning the PL
    • Mbappe is very deadly when given time and space to shoot. Back in the old days of gangsterism soccer what some evil coach do is sacrifice one player to mark him tightly and that is his only job no need play with teammates. For some maybe tackle in such a way he cannot play soccer for the rest of the tournament. Now is 2026 world cup soccer is much cleaner.
