Watching this mediacorp show on netflix now...looks not bad...anyone seen this before?

Taiwan ghost movie about university students getting haunted after playing a ritual at a haunted bridge in campus for social media view counts. This is a milder version of the well made "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum" from Korea. Similar to Gonjiam, 6 friends attempt to try out an urban legend myth about a bridge being cursed by a girl who died under mysterious circumstances. If you start counting the steps at the end of the bridge at midnight, there will be an extra step that will appear and you should never look behind. Naturally, the group attempt to stream this and get a bespectacled dude to try. What started as a prank to scare the others in the group, eventually became a real, eerie spookfest for the dude who left alone at the bridge. There a few jump scares and the hostel they stay is pretty derelict and unconvincing. A nice film to watch for the 7th month but very generic ghost fest which you can also predict the outcome of a reporter and cameraman investigating the incident. I like the starting where they are streaming at the bridge and the paranormal happenings but after that the group of supposedly intelligent young people started their generic stupid decision making for the movie to happen. Apparently there is a Uni in Taichung where this legend is based off. Overall rating 6/10.

Watching this show now on netflix...a bunch of Wolverines (immortals with super regeneratives abilities) that work as mercenaries...director did not explain how they got their power but basically is a free pass to go and smash terrorists without fear of getting killed. They got betrayed in the show and someone uncover their powers. Now an organization is looking to capture these Wolverines to experiment on them to find out their source of power. Only actress i know is Charlize Theron, the rest i think small name actors. Apparently some of them have live very very long lives. The show also talk about the pain and inconvenience of being an immortal.

Very good show by Netflix. About a police bodyguard with PTSD from previous military service in Afghan war protecting the Home Sec (aka our Home Affairs minister) on her daily politician life. Total 6 episodes but i was hooked from ep1 to ep3. So far the show got a few plotlines, 1) Home Sec wants to push a bill through which allows the government to do surveillance on security but at the privacy of its citizens, 2) Male lead, Budd, is dealing with PTSD, mood swings and family issues and 3) some sexual tension built up between Home Sec and Budd (imagine JT, i will ). Highly recommended to those who are into action, politics, psychological thriller type of genre.

A cop buddy movie between a female FBI (Sandra Bullock) and a local police detective (Melissa McCarthy) who have to work their differences to take down a drug syndicate. Typical, predictable cop genre movie of two contrasting personalities that bond over the course of the film and eventually becoming BFF. There is chemistry between the two female leads and it was enjoyable at first. Towards the last third of the show, it became more of a drag. I'm also not very convinced by Melissa acting as a tough, seasoned detective who spew vulgarities and whack suspects or bad guys with disdain. Seems quite out of shape to do foot chase and make arrest. There is one funny scene where one of the female lead get stab on the thigh with a knife and after getting it out only to have to stab it back in again. Reminds me of those HK slapstick comedies of the 90s. Overall rating 6/10

New netflix movie starring God of Thunder, Thor as Tyler a merc for hire in this India vs Bangladesh drug lord war show. Plot: Bangala drug lord kidnap son of India drug lord (who is in prison). India drug lord bo lui but still wanna rescue kia (Ovi), so hire Tyler and his team to do the dirty work. During extraction, India drug lord #1 henchman (Saju) dua them, kill them so as to avoid paying them for their services and take Ovi back to India himself. Meanwhile, Bangala drug lord buay song, send out both police and his kakias to retrieve Ovi and kill everyone else. A lot of action and violence in this show. I find the movie quite enjoyable and well paced, except for one draggy scene between Ovi and Tyler. Plus point to a single shot chase scene which span over 10mins i think. Reminds me of aquaman having a similar action piece. Most of the action and fights are easily to follow and watch. The director doesn't keep editing cuts to throw the audience off, there is actually some real fight choreography which i appreciate. I think this is better than 6 underground and also one of Chris Hemsworth better movies, compared to Ghostbuster and MIB. He also got the bangalas approval when he spoke in bengali. Overall rating: 7.5/10

Lisa (Ali Larter), a hot temp worker joins a firm and go crazy over her OLDK married boss. From her perspective, they're deeply in love, he is planning to divorce the wife to be with her. From others view, she is just a delusional siaolang. Ali Larter is convincing as a crazy, in her own world kind of madness. I never seen Idris Elba so helpless before. He kana sexually harassed several times in the show, from being sneaked upon while peeing, to being flashed in her undies by Lisa in the carpark. At first, he enjoy the light hearted flirting but freaked out when Lisa went serious and bonkers. Derek (Idris Elba) tries to stopped Lisa and tells her off several times but the siaolang just doesn't gets it. Beyonce is the wife who is kept in the dark until 2/3 of the film has lapsed. She has a small role and pretty underused (except for some background music by her). Finally she had enough of all these shit and goes all out catfight with Lisa for the final act. Quite kinky to see a black and white woman scratching, punching and kicking the hell out of each other. I think they enjoyed it. Rating: 7.5/10

Lies. Deceit. Seduction. Manipulation. Very nice movie about a married couple that appears warm and loving but with the sudden disappearance of the wife on their 5th anniversary resulted in unravelling of the relationship. The movie duration is slightly longer than regular 90mins show, over 2 hours i think. The wife actress acted very well imo, very convincing as vulnerable, conniving, shrewd, like a sociopath. Ben Affleck is so so as the concern husband facing police questioning, public crowd, media. This movie is like an onion, slowly peeling itself revealing bits and pieces of the plot. I pretty enjoy this. 8/10 to watch if you're bored

Came across this movie on netflix yesterday about zombies outbreak. Generic outbreak of virus, cleaner stumble across a comatose body, accidentally awakens it, got bitten and became a zombie. Cleaner bit a doctor in the lab and we have an outbreak. Story plot revolves around 3 boy scouts that are caught in the outbreak. During early part, they sneak into a strip club to fulfil their teen fantasy before stumbling into stripper and bouncer zombies before being rescued by a zeh zeh. There are some funny scenes in the show and nsfw to post here. Final act shows the boys going to supermarket to arm themselves to head to a party to save the sister of one of the scout. Overall rating 6/10

Just finish season2, i like this better than s1 More character development, also have story progression and more discovery on the plague the The conniving queen and her dad also make their moves to usurp the throne from crown prince ratings Ending got hint of season 3. Guess depending on how this season perform on
