The_King Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman at Mustafa Centre. The police said in a statement that they received a call for assistance on Apr 7 at about 9.15pm. The man had allegedly touched the woman inappropriately a few times while he was standing behind her. He was subsequently detained by security officers and arrested at the scene by responding police officers. The man will be charged in court on Apr 9 for outrage of modesty which carries a jail term of up to three years, a fine, caning, or any combination of such punishments. The police said they have zero tolerance towards sexual offenders who threaten the safety of the community. They will be dealt with sternly under the law. The police also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to report such matters immediately after witnessing an incident of molestation or being made aware of someone being a victim of molestation. 1 2 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
