Heads up, a Snoopy pop-up cafe is coming to Singapore in June

Diners in Singapore may have heard of Kumoya by now — it’s a little cafe in the Bugis area known for hosting themed pop-ups of cartoon character concepts (previous ones include Care Bears, Pusheen, My Little Pony, and tokidoki.) Returning once again with a cuddly new comic icon, the space will be home to Snoopy and Woodstock from June to September this year.

You know the drill by now.

As usual, expect the unit to be tricked out with images of the beloved beagle and his best buddy, plus a merch corner and a menu of six snacks, four mains, four desserts, and eight beverages curated by Little Miss Bento. The Peanuts characters aren’t new to Singapore — we’ve got the Charlie Brown Cafe at Cineleisure — but this one focuses solely on the doggo and his sidekick.

If you’ve been to previous pop-ups, it’s essentially the same kind of food (almost), with just a couple tweaks and different characters decorating the plates. Light bites include nacho cheese ($10.90) or truffle fries ($11.90), karaage chicken with shoyu glaze ($12.90), and truffle chicken spam fries ($12.90).

As for the mains, you can get Japanese white rice molded into the shape of Snoopy, with Japanese curry, seafood tempura, and veggies ($24.90), or more rice in the shape of a sleeping Snoopy covered by a blanket of scrambled eggs, teriyaki chicken, and leafy greens ($27.90).

Plus, there’s the ebi burger ($23.90; vegetarian option available) served on a grassy patch with Snoopy’s doghouse and a cheddar-shaped Woodstock, and a squid ink pasta option with tempura salmon and the cartoon duo appearing on wafer slices ($21.90).

Dessert-wise, you’ve got churros and chocolate/rainbow dips ($22.90), red velvet cake with a fluff of cotton candy ($16.90), matcha azuki lava cake ($17.90), and pancakes with soft serve ($22.90). All bearing the image of the two loyal friends, of course.
